Things have been a little quiet here on the blog lately! If you’re following my Instagram, you’ll know why 😉
We welcomed our new baby Bea last week!
I was so lucky to have a relatively easy pregnancy. I was gardening right up until the last week (although I definitely needed lots of help with digging and other heavy-duty chores). Thank goodness most of the watering is automated right now. Even though I love tending my plants, I’d much rather be hanging out with Bea during these precious early days.
The delivery was a bit complicated but everything worked out. My midwives and the hospital staff were absolutely amazing. Kyle and I now have a wonderful, healthy baby girl!
Bea has been so good adjusting to life outside my tummy. She loves eating, looking intensely at our faces (and at lights/shadows), and of course listening to Grandma and Grandpa sing songs.
I’ve tried to get a few photographs of her, but I tell ‘ya…newborn photography is hard! Maybe it’s just because I’m so tired, or because she’s so squirmy, but wow it is difficult to get a photo of what she actually looks like! I’ll keep trying 🙂
Welcome baby Bea! We’re so in love already.
