20+ best seed companies to order from

Ordering seeds to plant in your garden is one of the most wonderful times of the gardening year. I’ve ordered and grown seeds from dozens of companies over the past decade, and am now convinced that taking the time to find a high-quality seed source is well worth the effort. We put so much time into caring for our gardens that it makes sense to start with only the best quality inputs.

These companies are renowned for their exceptional seed quality, variety, and commitment to sustainable practices (like only non-GMO seeds). Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned green thumb, this guide will help you find the perfect seeds to make your garden thrive.
