Have a question? Check this list, as I may have answered it already! If not, send me a question over on my Contact Page :)
What gardening zone are you in?
We live in Zone 5b in British Columbia, Canada. We have hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters. You can read more about me and my garden here.
Can I use one of your photos on my own blog or social media?
You’re welcome to use one image from a post here on Home for the Harvest as long as you link back to the original image on this site. Images used on the web must be clearly captioned “Photo by Home for the Harvest” and must be linked with a follow hyperlink back to the original post on this site. Images used on social media must also be clearly captioned “Photo by Home for the Harvest” and the caption should include a tag to my profile on the network.
How do you take and edit your photos?
Most of my photography is done with only natural sunlight as the light source. I do have some LED photography lights for when there just isn’t enough light around to take good photos. I edit my photos in Apple Photos, as well as with the VSCO app on my phone.
I shoot most of my photos with a Canon Rebel T5i DSLR camera. The Canon Rebel was a simple choice for me because the lenses were reasonably priced and there were many tutorials for it available on the internet (see the camera I use on Amazon.ca – affiliate link). As for my lenses, I use both a Canon 18-200 mm superzoom and a Canon 50 mm portrait lens (affiliate links). I also use my iPhone 6S Plus quite a bit to take photos. I find it takes the best flatlay photos (even better than my DSLR)!
Do you accept guest blog posts?
Home for the Harvest is my personal blog and does not currently accept guest blog posts.
Who did that lovely illustration of you?
The watercolour illustration of me was done by Cate Currie, a wonderful Canadian artist.
